Dr. Khanh Le received his Medical Degree from the Tulane University School of Medicine and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine.  He completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Tulane University Medical Center and received six months of fellowship training at Baylor College of Medicine.

He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Engineering with Magna Cum Laude honors from the Tulane University School of Engineering.

Throughout his medical training, Dr. Le has been involved in both basic and clinical research ranging from brain tissue research to heart failure to hepatitis C.  During his fellowship training, he has participated in the research of gastroesophageal reflux disease, Crohn’s disease, end-stage liver disease, and hepatitis B and C.  He has experience with transplant hepatology from his training at the Tulane Abdominal Transplant Unit.  He has a strong interest in the management of patients with chronic hepatitis C in addition to general gastroenterology.  Dr. Le has been mentored by over 30 faculty members who are experts in the field of gastroenterology and hepatology.  He has performed over 1000 procedures during his fellowship training (EGDs, colonoscopies, ERCPs).

Dr. Le is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology, and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

Dr. Le and his wife Beth are the proud parents of two daughters.  His interests include playing raquetball, carpentry, origami, and spending time with his family.  He believes excellent medical care is about compassionate care, treating patients like own family members, taking the time to explain results, and involving patient in medical decision making.
